Project Planning and Control Using Oracle Primavera P6 - Version 8.1 Professional Client and Optional Client:

Our Primavera P6 Version 7 book is now availale in Amazon Kindle and Apple iBook format. Other eBook formats will be released soon.

All recent Eastwood Harris books are being coverted into eBook format and the first to be released in the Primavera P6 Version 7 in Amazon's Kindle format. This book is now available in Apple iTunes format.

P6 EPPM R8.1 is the latest release of the P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (P6 EPPM) product.

There are are now two versions:

1. P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management R8.1 which has moved all administrative functionality to the web client. The P6 Professional R8 for EPPM desktop client requires a connection to the P6 EPPM R8 enterprise database to operate. It is not designed to operate in a standalone mode. One may access the P6 database through the web or client interface, but the administration must be completed through the web interface.

2. Customers currently using the"client only" or "standalone" P6 implementation may wish to now upgrade to the P6 Version 8.1 Professional Project Managment, e.g. standalone version.

P3 and SureTrak

As of 31st December 2010 ALL sales of P3 and SureTrak will no longer be available.

SureTrak & Windows 7 Compatibility

SureTrak is NOT supported on Windows 7. Some of the issues identified with running SureTrak 3.0c on Windows 7 include the following:

- Cannot create a project using Project Kickstart.
- Cannot create/modify/delete layouts as buttons are missing and the dialog boxes are cutoff.
- Cannot create/modify/delete resources in the dictionary as buttons are missing and the dialog boxes does not display properly.
- Cannot run Tutorial from Help menu.

These issues are not scheduled to be fixed at this time.
